Nightfall over Bellingham

“I stand here, listening to the cold wind under the curtain of night. I feel my heart shattered into a million pieces.” These are the words written by a soldier whose hopes have reached rock-bottom. He sees nighttime as a curtain falling over the world while the stage is being set again for the next day, cyclically tormenting humankind. His words resonate the feelings of many who dislike the night. This picture portrays a very despairing image of night that captures the soldier’s feelings.
