The Road to Red-bridge

By admin on May 25, 2010

There’s a road somewhere,
A tiny road that leads to Red-bridge,
On it are many travelers, carrying many belongings,
They’re headed to Red-Bridge,

The wind is gentle on this road,
The sun is warm and the skies are at rest,
The travelers are quite content,

And when it begins to darken,
And all seems to be put into the world of shadows,
The moon comes out and lightens their path,
The stars smile upon them,
They’ll guide them when there’s no other source of light,
Because the Road to Red-bridge is long and arduous,

They’ve been walking for quite a while now, the travelers,
A generation has passed,
The sun’s flare is much hotter now,
The wind isn’t as gentle, and the skies seem to coil with anger,
The road to Red-bridge no longer seems content,

When nighttime comes, the path to Red-bridge darkens,
And the travelers can only sense where they’re going now,
The moon refuses to come out, and the stars’ twinkles are too dim,
The path isn’t so bright, but Red-bridge holds many promises

It takes a village to get there,
No single person will arrive alone,
No single person will survive alone,
It takes a village to thrive in Red-bridge,

The travelers’ hopes have dimmed now,
Just like the stars’ twinkles,
They’re still hauling their bags, they’re still walking the long distances,
But their knees have weaken and their hearts no longer believing in such a place,
A wonderful place where there is no longer hardship and pain,

Red-bridge, where are you?
They wonder to themselves,
Have we spent all these years searching for something that doesn’t exist?
And it hits the elders, there’s no such thing as Red-bridge,
The road they’ve been walking on..was just the road of life,
When old age takes a generation away, the next continues to walk,
But will there be an end? They’ll never know, Red-bridge is just a hallucination..

Let’s continue to walk.
